House fire at Jesmond

Firefighters from Wallsend, Lambton and Cardiff responded to a house fire at Illoura St, Jesmond this evening. The first arriving crew found a house totally involved in fire and quickly started attacking the fire with hoses. The three crews used a total of four hoses to extinguish the fire and were successful in preventing its spread to surrounding houses. One of the NSWFB’s fire investigation dogs, Sheba, will be sent to the scene tomorrow to assist in the investigation.
